How published inventory changed
The highest observed daily close was 82 listings on 2026-08-13; the lowest was 59 on 2026-08-29. A listing contributes to each day it remains published, so daily counts should not be added to estimate unique jobs.
What the figures tell us
The directory recorded 25 publication or reopening events and 36 closure or expiry events during the whole month. A closure means a listing stopped being published; it does not establish that a hire was made.
At month end, 3 of 59 listings were classified as contract or fractional work, and 56 as salaried or permanent. Employer coverage moved from 22 to 30 companies with published roles.
These changes can reflect listing closures, editorial checks and changes in monitored sources. We cannot attribute them to a change in economy-wide hiring demand.
Coverage and limits
This edition uses reporting definition 1. It counts records marked published at each daily close, including listings temporarily withheld by quality checks. The current live directory can use stricter visibility rules. The data covers a monitored sample of employers rather than every remote opening.
The download includes legacy structured pay coverage: the share with numeric pay, currency and pay period recorded. It measures how much structured pay data we held, not how many employers disclosed pay. Original pay wording was not retained consistently in this period, so this report makes no historical salary or pay-transparency trend claims.
