About this role
This staff-level role spans platform engineering and site reliability for a fully cloud-based product. The engineer will own projects end to end, improve the paved road used by product engineers, and help Ashby scale without adding unnecessary operational complexity.
The work includes infrastructure automation, security and privacy guardrails, canary deployments and gradual rollouts, service-level objectives and indicators, resilient integrations, database performance, and support for event-driven systems and a data warehouse. Ashby uses AWS, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis, TypeScript, Node.js, Datadog, and Sentry, while treating written communication and independent technical judgment as core parts of the role.
